I was waiting for a Dometic aircon remote from a supplier, which took a long time to arrive When I enquired beginning of last moth aboout the progress, this is the answer I got:
"After a few attempts of trying to get hold of them it turns out that all employees of Dometic South Africa have been retrenched. At this stage we aren't sure what is going to happen going forward for Dometic products, but we think that maybe another big company such as Thule might be able to assist with Dometic spares in the future."

Not sure who the new owner is?

Luckily mine is still going after a few years. We've been using it for the past year as a spare freezer so it's been running for a few hours. I might have gotten the good batch

Absolutely no problems with my CF50.
And if you dont bang the lid shut the lock mechanism will last forever.
But because the lid is plastic i cover the stuff inside with a flat beerbox before closing the lid.
Still, it works much faster and switches less on and off than my Engel.

I have a CF-50 with what seems to be a thermistor issue. Does anybody know of anyone who can supply these thermistos? I am also struggling to contact Dometic.

Can I replace the thermistor with a different "brand" that has the same values?

Also what is the compound called in which the thermistor is set in?

    Thanks
Most Thermistors are NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) viz resistance drops upon increase in temperature. You need to find out the actual resistance to replace with like. (High Resistance Value). I don't know if it is a bead or probe type - I need to assume you removed the probe/thermistor. Try to use the same physical size.

Compound: Again is the probe mounted on a plate with Heat Transfer Paste (White stuff) or a probe inserted in a pocket? Probe type comes usually hermitically sealed with 2 x leads.

PS: I need to assume Thermistor has a Thermowell/pocket??

Dometic 2 burner camping stove. Had issues with burner control valve. Loftus in Randburg were able to help but indicated they can't get parts on Dometic products. Reading between the lines there is no support any longer for this brand.
    Generators are a passing fad

    And bog and sunroof vent.
I don't know about the stove and basin - ours is an older model.
The eye-level fridge in the new model is also Dometic, yes.
    Make it happen!
