    I enjoy a stout, and yes, would love to also delve into the deep dark mysteries of a dark beer too, some time.

    Mens kan ook nou net SOveel Jack en Coke drink.

    Mind you.........

    Stout not my thing. But on the strong beer side... I like Cornet and Darling's Warlord very much.

    Had a stout some time ago also brewed by the same Afrofunk department of Devils Peak. It was very good! Also the old Chameleon Brewery Oatmeal Stout. But I do not think you can get it anymore.

    Also had this one from them... It was "interesting"....

    Devils Peak small Afrofunk brews. Juicy Lucy... It is amazing.... Extremely fruity as the name suggests and that is in the taste and the aroma. They have worked some serious magic with this New England IPA...

    A home made Lager I sampled yesterday afternoon. Pretty straight forward beer, but it worked well with the hot weather we are experiencing.

    One of the hidden gems is Brewhogs in Midrand - they have some really nice beers and their consistency is what is key for me.

    Winter is coming up, so I will revert to buying those Guinness cans, still my favourite winter beer.

    I noticed two things with this thread:

    1) It makes me thirsty;

    2) Some of you here have girly hands.

    Mandreas, pushing your Datsun is hard work, must be really rewarding to have beer afterwards..

    Send Wynand a PM ... i dont want to share his number in the open.

    He "brews" the beer, so he gives you the wort in a 20L drum, at home you add yeast which Wynand supplies, you wait roughly 2 weeks for the bubbling to stop, you decant in to bottles, add sugar, wait another 2 weeks or so for it so get some fizz. The you drink the 20L rather quick, then the process repeats itself.

    Jip. But beware. I got extremely shite service from them. Vowed to never buy from them directly again. I get the Jucy Lucy now and again from LiqourCity and they pop up now and again at selected Tops...

    Here is an interesting one.... "World acclaimed Asian Lager". "Born in Singapore". Brewed and bottled in the Netherlands!

    It tastes like Zamalek to me....
