    Question A Garmin question

I have a Garmin NUVI, base model, that I bought in 09.
it has now started just giving me a map of Africa, still gives speed and what street I am on, but unless I put in a destination, the live road map is gone.
Can it be re set? Or is it as I suspect, past it's sell by date and toast?

You can reset to factory default Hold power switch and bottom right corner of screen at the same time.

Normally these older Garmins one needs to clear out your saved destination as the memory gets full

Worth a try but generally the updates are for location areas but you can see what the update are

Go to settings, maps, and then at the bottom, map info.

Maybe the map set is not ticked?
