    Default Crocks on the loose

    No, there has not been a "jailbreak" at the local old age home ...........

    It seems that a few crocodiles of between 1.2 and 1.5m escaped from a commercial farm in Bonnievale.
    Number unknown, 20 have been recaptured, the balance is ..... ?

    So if you are camping between Robertson and Swellendam keep your pinkies out of the water !

    According to the croc farm in Stellenbosch, they will still hunt if hungry. They do not lose the instinct to hunt

    This happened once near Vaalwater. We were at a resort there with a small stream / river running through it. One eve on the way to the pool, we nearly stumbled upon a couple on the walkway, trying to heat themselves probably, on the paving.

    Nee wat, hulle is redelik teretorial.. Pelle van my is elke nag op die rivier.. Blykbaar sien jy hul oë maklik in die donker met 'n flits.. Probleem is net die rivieroewer is redelik ruig in seker areas.
    Soektog is tans so 5km stroomop en stoom af, meeste is stroom af met hokke met aas in gevang.
