I'm looking for these to replace the ones on my floodlights. Seem like hens teeth, looking for 50W ones, they're about 40mmx40mm, and local here in Cape Town. Anyone know of a supplier. Thanks. Z

My go-to place is AC-DC in Paarden Eiland. They've just moved premises to the top of Section St, where 4x4 Megaworld used to be. If they haven't got them, they will know where to go - Noel at the help counter is very knowledgeable.

Alternatively you can try Leroy Merlin. Ferreiras Electrical has sometime specials.

Hee ha, found a supplier here in the colonies, Under R100 to replace as well as some other bits and bobs I was looking for to make life a little easier when off the beaten track.

Bought and paid online, went and collected because I was in the area, fitted the items and now the light is working 100% R75 per light. Better than R600ish to replace the whole thing. Was a doddle to replace.

I bought some cheap spotlights online a few years ago. They only last a few months and then start to flicker, before they die.

I kept the broken ones. Maybe they can be repaired after all.
