    Default Hilux 3.0D4D limp mode

Ek hoop regtig iemand kan help.

My 2008 Hilux 3.0D4D (handrat, d/cab, 270'000km) gaan in limp mode in sodra ek 142km/h bereik.

    Airflow sensor.

Swop out with a buddy and test.

Dit was my D4d se kwaal gewees

Maklike fix. Laat hom govern op 140 km/h. Sal nooit weer op 142 uitsny nie. Waar kry jy in elk geval so lang afdraande??

Filters of pomp in tenk as hy een het?

    Hi Eduard

Did Toyota read the diagnostic code and do the work to replace a vacuum valve? Also, which valve specifically was replaced?

There is a proper diagnostic procedure which will identify exactly why you're getting limp mode with a P2008 code - I've attached it in a PDF. I would take the car to Toyota and tell them to give you a report once they've completed the diagnostic BEFORE they quote for replacing any parts.

Toyota did the initial diagnostic and 2 other independent mechanics as well...same code.
My mechanic did the replacement with a genuine Toyota part.
Not sure as to which valve specifically was replaced as he just told me it's the vacuum valve.
But I'm definitely giving him the .pdf document.
    Thanks a lot.
