    Default WeBuyCars.......Buyers Experiences??

    Hi Guys

    Only asking.

What are your experiences with WeBuyCars (BUYING a Car)?

Esoecially regarding (just as ezample) Paper Delays, you have to (maybe) wait for the Natis for , say, up to 3 weeks?

I live in PE, bought my Toyota from WBC in pretoria. Did all paperwork from her, all approved, then flew up JHB, they fetched me from Airport. Drove me to thier showroom. I signed the papers and was out in 30min.

Seeing that I reside in PE, they couldnt register the car for me in PTA. I did it all in PE, RWC/transfer and new plates. They reimbursed all moneys to my account immediately when i showed them proof. (+/-2300)

    My experience was good.

I'm am looking for a platkar now, and wont hesitate to use them again

Sweet-sour experience so far, bought two cars from them, one in 2019 and 2020. First one I had to wait a bit for them and follow up to take the vehicle off their name. 2020 went smooth.

The only big drawback is that they do not give any warranty unless you buy a warranty for R10k. With my 2020 purchase (2010 Fortuner) The rear light housing had water ingress and they refused to fix it, even though it was only seen afterwards with the rainy season.

My swaer het al 'n paar keer by hulle gekoop en hy reken die papierwerk is vinnig. Die oponthoud kan by die Munisipaliteit wees want daar werk 'n paar verskoning konings by daai plek.

    Thanks so far Guys.

I'm specifically interested in a possible Paper delay from their side.....in short, has anyone had any issues in receiving all necessary Reg Papers from them??
I'm not too stressed about waiting for it, just wanna make sure that I actually DO get them, even after a week or so.

Also in the Trade, I fully understand Paper Delays. Just want to sort of make sure who I can accept such a Delay from.

    THANKS

Sold two cars to them - way above what I could get on trade-in. Money in bank whilst I was still on the showroom floor.
But was also offered a lot less than trade-in on another vehicle.

Petri, they are very strict about paperwork when buying stock. I will be surprised if they cannot give you the necessary paperwork immediately after the sale is concluded.

I have a client that is buying up vehicles from them on auction, at a rapid rate, for resale.

They've paid less than trade for many of them, and more for a few very clean examples.

No issues with paperwork that I'm aware of - they dealer stock them on trade plates.

Sold 2, bought 1 and was also with a friend when he bought a caravan. All very good experiences, no issues or delays.

    Sold a vehicle to them.

Fair price, better than the regular dealerships, money in the bank whilst i was handing over.

    Overall a good experience.

    My 2c worth.

When I SOLD them my Volvo, I was offered a very good price. There was still a settlement amount owing to the bank. We got the settlement amount, and they paid that immediately, and the difference to me, while waiting.

I think that if my car was SOLD in a day or two, the new buyer might face delays, as WBC have to retrieve the original NATIS docs from the bank now, and don't have them on hand? Just what I think anyway. I love looking over their showroom floor.

    " .... "

Recently sold a vehicle to them, service was good, paperwork and payment was fast, price was good too.
No complaints other than the salesman being late for the contract signing/purchase.
Was made up for by buying the extras for the vehicle.

Sold two cars. Best offer received by a good margin. Spot cash. Left one car here till I got a replacement. All paperwork spot on time.
But, cars in their Nasrec showroom were ALL rubbish.
Bought rather from a proper dealer.

    Also recently sold to them.

Amazing. Better price offered than anyone else after a bit of negotiation and so easy and efficient.

Thereís a reason theyíve grown so massive - good systems in place and, from the buying side anyway, their guys are super switched on.

If there are any delays from a paperwork and purchasing point of view Iím sure itís more Covid and government related.
