When getting wet is more worrying than saving the man...

I don't know what is more concerning:
1) That he dove head first into a pool knowing the depth; or
2) That his "friends" showed so much concern towards his welfare![]()

Eish!
I'm sure there were some alcoholic beverages consumed.
This impairs the jumper and the friends judgment.

Sjo what a shocking video.
But you know what, we've all been stupid. In varsity I once dove head first into the heated pool at Magaliespark. I was being funny diving like a whale head first. I DID NOT F-ING REALISE THE THREE PEOPLE IN THE POOL WERE ALL STANDING ON THEIR KNEES! I could have broken my neck that day. I was lucky that the only injury was a bruise on my forehead.
Short story - liquor & pools should NOT mix. But they do so often. I mean what's a pool party without a dop?

Also very true.
We used to dive off a jetty without knowing whats beneath, but we still only did it at high tide.
But I guess I knew that if I ever jumped off or into something and injured myself, if I wasn't dead, my dad would kill me.So that fear always kept me safe.

I am just amazed at how lackadaisical they are about helping him.
The pool is obviously shallow enough to get in and help him.
Chances are he probably drowned.

Great friends .....
My pool isn't that shallow, but my friend once, also in a moment of lapsed judgement, dove like a penguin, and knocked his head hard. We were luckily all aware and rushed him to hospital. He was very lucky to come out unscathed.
Now I have a rule, no diving when alcohol is involved.

Looks like he broke his neck and died instantly - didn't even thrash or come up again!

With friends like that, who needs enemies?
Guy is very clearly stretching his arms in front of him in the dive. I'm curious if that pool have a dead drop from shallow to deep end creating some ledge underwater.
Cousin did that on a school trip once. Just ran up to a pool and dove in. Got something like 9 stitches in his forehead, cut his trip short very quick. He didn't know the depth of the pool.
