Good day everyone.
I bought a 2008 Bravo 1.4 T-Jet for my son yesterday. The car drives very nice.
Error messages:
ASR Disconnected
EBD Failure see handbook
ABS unavailable see handbook

But, (why is there always a but?) these are the error messages I cannot get to go away. I disconnected the battery for one hour to have everything go to factory settings, but it didn't help. Apart from this, the car is amazing. I searched on Google and this was what people did and seemed to work. Some also got it to go away why switch the car off and on a couple of times.
I do have a diagnostic tool. Is there a place I can plug it in?

I am in the East Rand and will REALLY appreciate some "light" here.

Does these errors make the car unsafe?

Well finally got the car fixed, the problem was caused by an earth cable which is connected underneath the car to the gearbox, the garage which i use had a Fiat in last year with the same problem and they remembered it.

Yes, you won't have any ABS, ASR or EBD until that error is sorted.

Yes, there will be an OBD port. Google for the location, I'm too lazy.

It can be any of a 100 things. Wheel speed sensor, or wiring, etc. If you are lucky you might clear the error with your diagnostic tool.

I had a Fiat Stilo 1.9 Tdi that would give stupid warnings and go into limp mode for no reason. The limp mode was traced to the system the put the exhaust gasses and crankcase breather back into the intake system. With info I got on the forum I could do a mod by fitting a blanking plate and switched the solenoid off in the ECU.
There was a section on the forum where you could download the full diagnostic and scan program for cars older that 4 years for free. I used this to reset all the irritating nuisance warnings and diagnosed many faults. You logged in with the vehicles VIN Number so you got the exact info for the specific vehicle.
