Hi Tony,

It has 3 built in Li-Ion 18650 batteries so that it can run up to 24 hours on the high setting.

It can't take your standard batteries and doesn't have that function.


It is a high quality very rugged item that is perfect for around the house and then also for camping.
The fact that it doubles as a power bank makes it very convenient and you can also hang it upside down and remove the top cover which creates a flood of light underneath it. it has a globe around the LEDs inside the unit which makes for perfect lighting
It is also rated IPX6 which means you can use it in the rain.

Definitely! Looks almost identical to the UST (Ultimate Survival Technologies) 30-day lamp that runs on 3 D-cell batteries and which is one of the best camping lights I have... I'll place an order soon. Love the power bank function.

As a matter of interest, and not wanting you to divulge any trade secrets, which route works better for you - selling through Takealot or selling direct off your website, and does selling through Takealot mean you make less money? Either route works for me, but I don't want you to lose out on the little bit of cash the difference may make.

Great product and great service - mine arrived this morning via courier, with tracking emails etc sent promptly through the delivery process. Very impressed with your service, thank you. The lamp will get a full trial run this weekend when we go away to an off-grid cottage at Smitswinkel Bay, but the build is very rugged and solid.

Hi Paul, mine had a bit of charge when I got it, but was showing low charge - I charged it for about three hours and it was on full charge.
Just to add that I am very chuffed with the constant red light function - perfect for bush camp lighting where you don't want to kill your night vision, and it will pick up any animal eyes.

I am still using the top notch 10 day UST lantern you recommended years ago.

Might follow you on this one too although my preference is for AA battery operated!

That red light function would be particularly handy for us.

The Extreme lights lamp has more powerful LEDs and due to the new technology rechargeable batteries, it is way lighter. Great for camping and use in my tent. I highly recommend this product.
