Do some of you also at times experience the browser slowing down the browser when you open post..

When scrolling up and down, browsing the various posts, no problem, open a post my phone comes to a standstill..

Hubby and I are experiencing the same. He has a Sony, myself a Huawei.

It is fine scrolling up and down the threads in for instance the Pub, but open a thread and scrolling sort of freezes.

Delete logs and also signal strength plays a part.

I've had the same issue on my Samsung s10 using the forum app. You'll be scrolling through the new posts then it just stops/freezes.. thats on WiFi.

I'm of the opinion that the freezing happens when some post "above" you are updated.

I rather think it has to do with attachments and photos.

The Interesting pictures thread is a good example. I have not been able to browse it on my phone for quite a while. I find the issue more prevalent in any thread with a photo.

I don't have an issue with my Huawei when using tapatalk to view forum on most occasions . When I do, it's usually due to bad signal.

I my case all works fast but for the INTERESTING PICTURE topic. It does display all the pictures but loading like 2 pictures on my screen can take 5 to 20 odd seconds. I can also see my Internet speed and when it's 5 sec my speed is about 8 times faster than when it takes 20 sec.

Note 20 Ultra was doing that when at 120hz but not at 60hz.

Agreed, I have excellent wi-fi at home and I have the issue at home as well, not just on mobile data. This morning and last night was absolutely fine.

And I clear my cache and history almost daily or every other second day.

I hope Dirk can simulate it; I don't want to use an app to browse and browsing directly from Chrome has been fine for a very long time. It just the last 2 or 3 weeks (I think).

Don't browse this site on my phone, but I do browse another news website on my phone and the same thing happens there as well.
What I have noticed is that it seems to happen when scrolling past certain, not all, adds or images.

This issue was gone for a while, but I am experiencing it again since yesterday. Very bad tonight in fact.

I have no found anything, will run more tests and ask the devs at the office to help a bit.

I very seldom use my phone to look on the forum, but I had an internet outage over the weekend, and used my phone with data. It was not impossible to use, but there was a lot of delay scrolling and Chrome for Android was not responsive at times. Phone is a midrange Samsung A31 that I have not had any noticeable issues with anywhere else.

Will test again tomorrow, it is definitely Android related as on the iPhone I have no issues and I mostly use the browser.
