So today I took the plunge and started stripping the beige interior of the D3 to replace with black.
It's not rocket science, but it is rather a bit of work. Under supervision of Mike got a bit done today...
So if anyone is.looking for a decent full interior for a d3, contact me...

That looks like a lot of work coming!
I did the same with my two D2's. Silver one had grey interior. Beige one had brown.
Also not difficult but a lot of work.

It looks way better with the black interior , If you are willing to sell some interior bits separately, Im looking for the center cubby and the lower cubby.
Let me know thanx
Brave job!
Would like to know how to remove the center console?
Need to remove mine or figure out where to put a riv nut to hold a radio mic close to driver side.
Easy enough.
4x T30 torx
1 star at the hand brake lever
Loosen the star screw at the hand brake
Move the seats waaaaay forward. Remove the two covers (looks like vents) at the rear bottom on the sides. Behind then are two T30 torx screws.
Now clip out the center piece at the gear lever carwful don't break and leave the cup holders behind.
Unplug all the wires. There is one that does not have a plug unless you have the cooler in die cubby..
Right in front there are another two T30 torx screws.
And done pull it out.

Thank you for the step by step detail.
My bad. I meant to ask about the verticle centre console that houses the buttons and knobs for the Air con etc. The unit just above the bottom centre console, please?
Going through all the trouble, you could just aswell have ripped out the carpets to wash them properly.
