Alldays to Mapungubwe road tarr.

Hi I would appreciate some assistance.

We are booked in to Leokwe at Mapungubwe for 3 nights starting tomorrow. We intend traveling via Alldays but slightly concerned about road condition in this rain. We are 2 vehicles both 4x4 but have received mixed reports regarding road surface. Some say it is tarr (potholes) others say dirt road.

Any first hand knowledge?

It is definitely a tarred road. I cannot give info on the pothole situation, but it was never bad when we have traveled it. There may even be pothole starting as soon as you leave Polokwane - but hey, that is SA and we learn to live with it.
Fill up with fuel at Alldays (and firewood?), no fuel at Mapungupwe

Enjoy a fantastic park - you may have restricted access to certain areas due to the rain.

I travelled that road end of November last year. It is tar but very potholed. You should be OK as long as you keep the speed down. Parts are better on the gravel verge.

What he said.There is nothing to buy in the park.Closest shops are in Alldays.No firewood or charcoal either.

Thanks, just returned after a fantastic trip. Yes tarr road with potholes from Vivo and Musina road but manageable just be on the lookout. Scenery was stunning, everything green (and wet)
