Amarok v6 coolant leak

Appears I am leaking coolant.

Friend phoned after my car was parked at his place for the day and said there is a patch of what looks like coolant on his paving. My check engine coolant light has come on aswell. Bakkie is going in tomorrow. Engine temps were normal on the short trip home.

Anyone else experienced this? The driveway a fairly steep but this shouldn't matter, car is close to 60000kms now.

in the V of the engine there is a plastic T piece thats prone to cracking, I’d start there.

can u give us more info? can it be repaired or do they replace the whole turbo? did the bakkie show any change in temp? was it just the water on floor symptoms? power was still the same?

Have a full maintenance plan so they are changing the pipe that comes with a new seal and clamp.

Absolutely no changes in temp or power or sound or anything.

Was just a bit of water with a reddish tint on the paving. This morning there was nothing under the vehicle, coolant warning light also did not come on this morning so decided to drive to the VW (3,5kms from home) very slowly. The check coolant light came on about 500m from VW, the car was not even up to temp yet.

I can fetch the car later this afternoon.
