    Default Need some help please

    2005 Tata indica
    My grandpa was driving when the rear left bearings seized..(inner and outer tapered bearings) resulting in overheating and self welding its self to the cars spindle/axle

    so the cars needs a new spindle (yeah tata calls it that)
    im no noob around cars but iv never knocked out a spindle before...
    i do notice a cap behind the spindle...but before i start trying to remove the cap and moer out the spindle i just want to make sure im on the right track?

    It looks like you have to remove the whole arm and then find someone with a BIG press. Probably would be easier to look for a second hand arm and spindle.

    the arm is only 3 bolts to remove...so shouldnt be too hard...
    as for a press there is a auto shop like 200meters away that used a press installing new shocks and springs for me

    the spindle its self looks like it can be smacked out...i found a guy in cpt who will courier it too centurion for me..total cost R1100
