    Default Isuzu or Ranger

    Hi All

We are looking at buying a second hand 4x4 DC bakkie, but we are in two minds which one to choose. The one is a 2015 Ford Ranger 2.2 TDCi XLS 4x4 D/Cab with 120k on the clock for R299k, the other 2014 ISUZU KB300 D-TEQ LX D/CAB 4X4 with 185500 on the clock for R320k.
    Advice please....

One year and 60k km younger, R21 000 cheaper I would definitely go for the Ford

Having owner 280 DT, I would be biased towards the Isuzu.

    See what I did there?

I am actually more other brand supportive but between the two options, I would definitely go Isuzu

Obviously taking into consideration proper maintenance was done over the lifetime of the vehicle.

If maintenance was carried out as per factory schedule - get the Isuzu. Just go gently the next 100 000 km's or so - running in is important.

    No brainer... Ford.

Will drive the Ford for 3 years to get to the Isuzu km's and R20k cheaper.

I agree, the ford will work.

I basically drive a ford in disguise and must say I am happy with the vehicle.

Although it's a 2.2 and the Isuzu is a 3.0, I'm pretty sure you will save more on consumption and the power the 2.2 delivers is quite sufficient.

Let's us know on the outcome.

If you are planning to keep it for 10+ years = Isuzu

If you are going to keep it for 2 to 5 = Ford
