So me and the wife had nothing to do the past weekend and decided to go to Waterberg Wilderness for one night. It is on our door step. What a gem. Peace and quiet rustic with only the basics. Nyala came and visited us a couple of times in the camp. Wife was really happy with the new luxury added to our camping gear. A Hammock.... I will not go camping without it again..... Enjoy the pics![]()

Looks to be a popular site...
We stayed at the Bee Eater site over the first weekend of the New Year and really enjoyed it.
Peace and quiet in a beautiful area.

The only comment I have as an active person my initial booking of 9 nights was optimistic, cycling and walking is possible, but eish cycling is a bit challenging with all the rocky roads, steep up and down's. SWAMBO was the only one who did not fall cycling.
Twice we drove around on the farm and that was enough as well. We did rest quite a bit, food for the soul.
I will however return, the solitude and off-grid camping is stunning. The sunsets we had was just spectacular. Nyala bull keeping a keen eye on me preparing a lasagna pot

Fantastic Place and Rustic.
We where there about 2 months ago as well for the weekend and decided to stay one more day even.
Definitely a place to visit if you want to get out of the rush of the City.
The 4x4 parts is not really what one would call 4x4ing (not to me anycase).
What I like is the quietness and you don't know about the other people there at all.
You can also basically walk /do cycling everywhere, even follow your own bush trails.
It was quite windy I don't know if it is like that throughout the year.
A few pictures when we where there, We opted for minimalistic setup of tents :![]()
