Gus......eks seker die grootste Suzuki fan ooit.

My SJ 410's wat ek kan onthou......die blou soft top (brand new in 1983........R 8499). Toe rooi hardtop, geel hardtop, with soft top. Op plaas het so grasgroen soft top 'n 600l firefighter op sy gat gedra.

Toe paar 413's gehad, with LWB, silwer LWB, en wit SWB.

Vitara soft top ook gehad, SWB.

    Toe weer wit 413.

Ek dink ons is al by meer as 10.

Ek dink my liefde het begin toe ek jong laaitie was, my pa se pel Oom Grobbie het so kkahki Suzuki gehad, sover ek onthou 'n 2 stroke.

Ongelukkig (of miskien gelukkig) is my pay heeltemal te klein vir so iets...nie eers 'n tweedehandse een nie. Sal maar die Sondagtrekker nog moet ry. Nou eers 10 jaar, so hy is nou eers mooi ingeloop.

I also love the Jimny and the fact you can zip through Baviaans etc on weekends. My biggest fear is it will be my daily runner and don't know how nice it is to use for that. Ok if you potter down the road to work and then home again but I am in my car a lot as in sales. I drove one and loved it just not sure how I will cope using it daily having to zip around here there and everywhere. However I am really do the best to convince myself.

As long as you are not a speed junkie, the Jimny is great as a daily runabout.

Depends on what you want it for. Hard-core off-road, then auto. Milder trails and overlanding, definitely manual.

I drove the auto recently. It is slow af. The dealer would not let me test drive it on the freeway. Only around the block. I suspect it is because it would struggle to maintain 120kph.

But around the block it was fun...a little wobbly but fun.

The manual isn't much faster. Yes, it can maintain 120kph on the highway. Top speed is around 150kph.
Even though it is slow, it is still fun to drive.

I lock cruise control at 130km/h daily on the highway. Yes is needs an extra gear, much like the hilux d4d auto I owned. But absolutely nothing wrong with it.

    120Km/h ?
Maybe on highveld, friend of mine has the auto, he runs between Worcester and Bredasdorp, he reckons easy 130 Km/h...
Which explains why he only gets 350 km on a tank, I get on average 450 km.
