    Default Mitsitech

    Hey guys. Happy new year!

Heard many good things about Arnold and Mitsitech. Thinking of trying them for next service.

Do they use Mitsubishi genuine parts or OEM?

And in terms of oil, what oil do they use?

I have used them for all my vehicles. They quote you on using OEM parts or if you want cheaper quote they offer aftermarket parts. Best service you can get. More reputable than the stealers

Using Mitsi Tech is the best decision you can make for your vehicle.
Arnold will use only what he knows is the best for your vehicle. If he feels an aftermarket part will suffice he will use it to save you money. Otherwise he will use genuine parts.
You can call him or WhatsApp him, he is very responsive : 076 402 0046

But as mentioned, i think he only opens on the 11th.

This depends on what vehicle you have, but in terms of brand i am pretty sure he will use Liqui molly as this is what he advised for my 4M41.

Have used them in the past on my Colt Rodeo and they do good work.

If price is a major consideration then dont go there

You mean they are more expensive than the stealers?

I'm still hurting from a painful and expensive experience with them. They are one of the reasons I'm not driving a Mitsubishi anymore.

Thank you for the Liqui Moly option - do you perhaps know the specifics? I have unsuccessfully tried to get Delo 400 as recommended and am a new 2012 SWB Exceed owner.

Delo 400 has been improved and is now called Delo MGX and there is also Delo gold. The 15w40 has long been used successfully in the Pajero's

They are far more fairly priced than the dealers. The work they do is of excellent quality and I think we are privileged to have such passionate people looking after our cars. Their knowledge also far exceeds the dealer knowledge.

I will happily pay for the expertise, and considering they use mostly OEM parts I think the pricing is completely fair.

Nobody is perfect though and there will be those who've had a bad experience, just remember to ask both sides of the story when coming to a conclusion.

    Cheers

Sorry for the late reply. I cannot comment as I have not used the agents for a long time.

I can only comment on my experience with Arnold.

I arrived there late one Friday afternoon without booking the car in beforehand. He was very friendly, gave me personal attention and helped me get back on the road. My Colt started giving problem on the way to a meeting not far from his workshop.

When I had another problem a while later I went back and he helped me again.

Part of the fixing was to extend, fix the bush where the propshaft goes into the gearbox and balancing the propshaft.

I had the bush done at his workshop and had the rest done in Centurion where I stay thinking I could save money. Well I could not. The prices were the same and more expensive but because Arnold could only help me the day before I went on holiday I was not willing to risk having the work done and leave on a long trip immediately.

For me good service, trustworthy repairworks and good feedback is as important as the price paid.

Arnold is not cheap but then again I had my fair exposure to cheap repairs and the implications which go with that.

Should it be required I will go back to him tomorrow.

    Johan

R1700 quoted today per swaybar link. Got local pirate parts for R350 each.

Mitsu is a ripoff. Luckily we don't need parts that often.
