Provisionally: TV boxes do not like dynamic IP address allocation on wired LAN. Disconnects without reason. Setting up static IPs.

    Mystery: Why?

I actually took one box back to place I bought it. It worked after return and I thought they did something to it. I wired the whole house and changed all TV boxes to LAN and Wi-Fi off. Suddenly 2nd box stopped working. Good box but was used on Wi-Fi in the past. I changed to static IP and it connects. I did watch one hour and 100%. Changed also the box that originally gave problems. Upto now has worked fine.

In the past I have noted that having dynamic IP some items stop working. I have had at least one network hard drive and lazer printer like that. Sometimes they work and sometimes not. On static they do work. Now I have to keep record of the IP addresses

Wiring the house was worth. Streaming works better.

Have a look at your router which has the dhcp server and see whether you can lock in the dynamic IP address(es). This is possible on some routers, like Mikrotik and Ubiquity. The default lease time on some routers is also very short

I have never bought a car as expensive as this.

Now I learned why some people buy cars without roof or with fabric roof. They cannot afford the roof.

    I learned again today that:

    1. If someone want to believe something they will gather any and all morsels from anywhere as proof of their conviction.

    2. Reading comprehension is shockingly inadequate. Even under the older supposedly well-educated generation.

The vast majority of kids I went to school with couldn’t pass a comprehension test, so I am less shocked by number 2.

I was once again reminded today that in this day and age of technology and Google, 2 people can have one hell of an argument based on I "think" it's like this, no you are wrong, I "think" it's like this. Why the hell even argue if you "think" and are not sure yourself? Or maybe being unable to think is the problem in the first place?

Actually yesterday but confirmed by other people today.

Flies are having bad days. For what ever reason there is quite a lot but they simply sit. Easy to kill, some seem to drop dead on their own. I cannot remember seeing the same before. Temperature, rain? It is not related to a house as it happens in more than one house.
