I see that itís not just me that started early today. Potatoe salad just made. Beetroot still in the hot water, will start with the pickling shortly.
    Remaining items on the list:
    Cucumber salad
Gammon later tonight in the round black dingus with the beef roast, tongue and nkuku wings. All for tomorrow.
Tonight will be fire and finger food
    Hermie

Turning Vegan would be a big missed steak!!

We have a split Christmas (none of that pagan garbage thanks ) due to some an offspring needing to be in 2 places at once: attend something at mom&dad tonite and then attend something at the "aangenaaides" (as Sean to eloquently mentioned) tomorrow.

So tonite will be a light affair of :

    - frikkadelle
    - cocktail worosies
    - samoosas
    - the traditional "hedgehog" made from tooth-pick nibbles: sour onions, cheese, smoked vienna op n stokkie, you get the vibe? all stuck into a half raw potato so that it looks like a toothpick hedgehog
    - ale
    - more ale
    - maybe some wizza later (which is distilled ale)
    - maybe some barleywine (a keg aged strong ale)

Tomorrow will only be me, SWAMBO, and mini-SWAMBO.

    - flutterby lamb leg slow cooked on the It Are Time heat
    - gammon in the huvin with some spicy honey glaze
    - couscous salad with all types of things like chakalaka and feta and hunyun and tomato
    - and due to Mini SWAMBOS demand, deep fried roast peritos, lightly tossed to roughen them up before having the goef in the hot duck fat

Will sneak some pics in as we go.

Is Camelthorn your own brew, Jelo? I've not heard of it....

Due to a split family, I've also "opted out" of tomorrow. Will be doing some lamb rump steaks with my special "garlic and rosemary infused mint sauce with a touch of jalapeno". And a spud salad.

Camelthorn is a small Nam brewery now owned by Heineken and falling under the Jack Black distribution umbrella.

Well, I like it and that's all that matters Maybe I'll make some for the BBBBBBBBBBBBBE getaway and you can give me an opinion.

Rainier has tasted some left-over lamb chops that were marinated and basted with it on the braai. He said it was quite lekker, although maybe he was being polite. Oh no wait, we're talking about Rainier here
