    Home alone tonight. A chunk of topside that was swimming in the sous vide the whole day wil be made skrik in some butter on a hot cast iron dingus on the flames. With a handfull of stirfry as well. and a brannas in the hand. It can like to work for me.Click image for larger version.

    Default The 'IT ARE TIME' - Riaan van Wyk Memorial Thread

    Today’s dish was taught to me by the Legend RvW himself. I hope I do him proud!!
    The ingredients

    WHOLE SPICES

    1 star anise
    1 cinnamon stick
    3 whole cardamom pods
    1⁄2 teaspoon fennel seed
    1⁄2 teaspoon cumin seed
    1⁄2 cup oil
    1 onion, chopped

    FINE SPICES

    3 tablespoons garam masala
    1 teaspoon ground coriander (seeds)
    1 teaspoon hot ground pepper (like cayenne)
    2 teaspoons turmeric
    2 tomatoes, medium, chopped
    4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    2 teaspoons ground ginger
    6 curry leaves
    2 potatoes, large, in cubes
