    Default Rock and surf fishing

Can anyone please confirm if the closure of KZN beaches on the specific dates also means fishing from the rocks on those days are also prohibited or does it count only for swimming beaches/areas.

    Thank you.

Access to all beaches will be prohibited for any activity on closed days.
That said, I will not be stopped.

There is a difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.
If you find some secluded spot by the wayside far away and cast some lines, there shouldn't be an issue - especially if you can't get caught if you catch my meaning.

Thank you Andrew, I can see myself with old clothing and new Shimano rod and reel.

What about fishing from a peer?

    Lol. This is so ridiculous.

All the muppets that would have swarmed the beaches are now just going to swarm the shopping malls...

Do you have the full gazzette? Its not published yet from what I can see, so no indication then at this stage whether that is fake news or not?

Fishermen by default apply social distancing. You don't want buddies throwing over your line the whole time....
