Start with hard reset - uncouple battery for 30 mins.

Hi Guys
Please advise if any of you experienced this before and what is the solution to the problem.
When engaging into 4H & 4L it engage immediately BUT the 4H & 4L dashboard light keeps on flashing - as we all now the light should indicate that you are engaged and should not be flashing.
Just keep in mind the 4x4 system works and engages perfect.
Start with hard reset - uncouple battery for 30 mins.

Thanks I'll try.
Werner, does it keep on flashing even after driving for a couple of meters?
On my 2007, it also flashes until I start moving forward or reverse. It is as if there is a sensor that needs to align to confirm engagement.

Keeps on flashing.
My old 280 also started with that indicator flashing, byt 4x4 and low range is working.
I think it would also be either the bulb in the display oe a connection issue or maybe the sensor.
Mine no longer indicates at all but I can still engage and use 4x4 and low range.
My old lady is much older than your old lady, but could be a similar issue.
At this stage, as long as the mechanicals still operate as they should, I am happy.
I can hardly see that indicator light in bright sunlights conditions anyway, and if you forget to disengage 4x4 it WILL remind you as soon as you start doing turns on a solid surface.
For the rest you just waste some fuel.
Then there is the diff. lock. So seldom used these days ....
