Default Oil "overflow" Isuzu KB250 after service

I took in my Isuzu KB250 for its 45000km service on Tuesday and yesterday I noticed an oil spot on the pavement.

It seems to come from an overflow type pipe, see pics. Did they just overfill it?

Probably when they removed the filter some oil ran out, my guess is that is a small catch pan to catch the spilled oil from the filter when removing it so it doesn't run all over the engine.

    Don't worry about it.

Called the service manager - he says the top hole is the correct max level, but asked me to bring it in for them to make sure and just clean. Also said the excess oil would be from when the filter was changed - exactly what Chris8d said.

Depends on the vehicle. Can cause frothing if too full. The best is to follow the OEM instructions. Iíd be surprised if it says fill to top of dipstick

If you overfill, then you have a great chance of popping oil seals so I've been told.
