Drove through Bots and it was quite seamless actually. Just have your covid test ready and you are good to go.

Returned yesterday through Groblersbrug.Passed through one sone.Wanted to see passport/ID and covid test papers.....it was older than 72 hours,no problem.

Border easy as there are hardly any travellers.Coming out needed Covid rapid test at ZA side as ours was older than 72 h.All in test and results took about 3h @ R170.The 14 day grace only apply to commercial travellers according officials.Coming out no covid problems at Bots side.

BW Government say you are not allowed the charge more than BWP500 for a Covid test



Diagnofirm say they cannot do it at 500



Apparently Government Clinics can have the result in a day if you mention that you need it to travel across a border.

I’m doing a trip to Zambia in Jan. If I understand these post correctly:
It is possible to trans through Bots to get to Zam.
I need a valid not older than 72hrs negative covid test.
I can travel through Zones in Bots no problem.

Coming back I can do a covid test at SA border.
I would need to do a Covid test in Zambia though for Bots again?

This is quite urgent for me and I need your input please.

Just came trans through bots today..you will need a test certificate for going and passing through the zones is not a problem if you manage to enter at the border. You will need another test certificate on your way back to gain entry and they are serious about the certificate

Can a person take a test in Livingstone or is nearest Lusaka?

Part's halt closed Martin drift is open but not sure of the queue condition. Kopfontein open and no queue at all

As far as i know it is yes. We will transit through Bots tomorrow traveling from Buitepos in Namibia and leaving Bots at Ramatlabama.

We should pass through Ramatlabama at around 2pm, will update if its NOT open.

It's open. Went through a week ago. There is a long queue for the screening at the SA side though as all the truckers get there early. It took in excess of 45min each time we went through.

Quick question. I don’t know if I understand it correctly. Botswana requires PCR negative test for entrance but it says also to exit Botswana. Is the exit just for the other country or does Botswana want it in order for you to exit?

They looked at it as we left as well, don't really know why. That's when I found out the lab put my common name (noemnaam) on the report, not my full names as in the passport! Make sure your full names and details are as per your passport.
