I stayed up to watch and it was worth it! Adrian Newy’s presence seems to make a difference!

And this is why we should not take FP1-FP3 too seriously.

I promptly fell asleep one hour before Quali and woke up one hour after it was done and dusted. Was trully surprised to see Max on pole though. I will catch it later today - must have been a Banzai lap from Max?

    Ferrari looking good.

I had a callout to work at 19h00.

Came home just after Q2 started.

What a lap by MV. I really hoped Perez could manage 2nd, but 3rd is also good.

There is an oldish interview with him and his dad. Nice insight into their life, but they are very much against anybody writing or having a say unless they are an ex F1 driver and deeply imbedded in F1.

Some tech info here on an F1 engine. This is quite an interesting video and is quite insightful.

I have enjoyed this video and sure many of you will also.

    Happy for Perez as well.

    Great race.
    Nail biting.
Little Mick almost causing drama on the last lap.
Max lighting up the rear as he accelerated onto the pit straight to start the last lap. Keeping the gap to Lewis at exactly 1.00s leading to the detection point for the long back straight DRS.
Leclerc beating his three peers by half a minute and managing to never allow Perez a bigger lead than 11s.

Lovely race.. Well done MV. Very happy that you got it. He drove a very good race. And I think he had a little more in him if he needed it a the end. He managed his tyres and the gap to LH well I thought.
Not a LH fan but jeez he is quick, especially towards the end of a race!
Happy for Perez, but I wanted him to be little closer to LH to make that second stop of LH little tighter. But he just didn't have the speed to keep up with the 2 leaders.
Decent performances from both Ferrari and McLaren.
