Pushing the limit with rules and regulations, and looking for loop holes have always been part of motorsport. Many racing formulas revert to handicap "restrictions", which negates the value of expensive R&D and thus reduces the urge to find loop holes. This is where "sand bagging" comes in handy.
What I love about F1 is the drive for uniqueness and the drive for ultimate technology and engineering. Heck, the rules enforce uniqueness, which is why Racing Point was penalised last year.
Like Jaco said, if Ferrari had cheated outright, they would have been hammered. They found a loop hole and exploited it. The other teams shouted blue murder and the FIA systematically sharpened up on their rules and eventually shut the loop hole down. Mercedes-Benz did the same with DAS, the other teams cried, and FIA ruled it out for 2021.
Heck, when Tyrrell was struggling with their antiquated V8 against a brutal turbo field, they had huge water tanks for cooling the brakes. Those days it was all about wet-weight and dry-weight and somehow the rules allowed them to be something like 30kg under weight once the tanks were empty. Before the first corner there would be a cloud of spray behind them and from there they were running 30kg below minimum weight. The other teams cried and the FAI shut it down.

Ok, I will make one solid prediction for the season ahead.

This thread is gonna light up a month from now.

For some reason my anticipation seems to be at higher levels than normal at this time. I sense it in other participants here and even my kids are counting the days.

    Man, I cannot wait............

What if Perez finds the RB as undriveable as Albon did?

I'm wracking my brain to recall Lewis' disqualification. Google, here I come.

Yesterday evening Mika Salo has withdrawn his comment on the Ferrari fuel issue.

Here is the link into the article in the Finnish paper:
    https://www.is.fi/formula1/art-2000007829948.html
There is Instagram video link where he makes a statement in English.

It looks like the original interview was via twitch and in Finnish.

    There you go.
Very long ago, 2009 Australian GP. I was shocked to realise for how long Hamilton has been in F1.

So in terms of that graphic:

He once managed to win from 14th on the grid.

He manged third place from 17, 20, 21 and 22 on the grid quite a few times.

    Impressive.

    Thanks.
So it is true that he said it. I found the video, but of course couldn't understand it.
What still isn't clear is whether it was a slip of the tongue or a joke.
We'll most likely never know, because Ferrari have been bragging about their improved power unit so any improvement in performance this year could be either more fuel or better engine.
    Damn... I hate secrets.

Rumour mills talk about an African F1 by 2023, specifically Kaylami. Fingers crossed.

Another recent article I came across. If this happens, we should all arrange a GTG.

So, I ask with tears in my Sunlight Liquid green eyes - which is prettier? (I know I cheated with the Lancia being from another era)

The irony, if you paint that red Ferrari any other color than red, it would not be the same good looking car.

May well be true, but not material, because Ferraris are red :-)
I find it very easy to pick the Ferrari out of that lineup.

When does DTM start again, I enjoyed watching young Sheldon vd Linde and Young Aberdeen race, they did very well last year, despite their BMW's not being up to the performance levels of the Audis.
