After two years it kinda grew on me and I now use its functions daily. Just the charging every second day that was an irritation initially.

This is actually what I was aiming at . To see "working" watches, worn every day regardless of the worth. That is now a watch with "character". That's also how cars get character when they get used and you start to build a bond with them. If I don't have my old Seiko on I can really feel it and it bugs me until I get it back on.

My fake TAG.
Story behind it: while on contract for 6 weeks in Djibouti, my Breitling gave in. Crown wheel broke.
Back then we still went to Amman twice a week and my colleague knew a watch place at the souk in Amman. I just wanted to get a cheap replacement watch, since I legally need one for work. Nothing the guy had in his show cases really appealed to me. My colleague told him to show me the "special collection". Off he went and came back with a briefcase full of fake watches. This TAG Heuer fake just caught my eye.
It has been working faultless ever since. Cheap watches tend to last with me, slightly more expensive ones tend to give me trouble. Had a Longines when I was younger, very nice watch, but it went in for repairs often, just like the Breitling.

Charging of smartwatches always bugged me, and I could never reaaly "bond" with them.
That has changed, and I enjoy it a lot.

Ordered and on the way... can't wait. It is exactly what I want/need.

My wife got me a G-Shock for Christmas.

I am tough on watches and never wanted to spend money on something that will last a year only.

I was looking at a "tough" watch and after reading these things get worn by military and S.W.A.T guys and lasting through everything, she got me one.

Im not a watchoholic so this will be my daily watch for work and play. But I would like to get the G-Shock Mudmaster later on.

I like to moon and tide data. Comes in handy.

I'm also big on watches. But I've never owned a smartwatch, hopefully getting one for my 30th. (Wife if you are reading this, this is me throwing a "skimp")

My daily is the G-shock GA-700 (5522) got it as a Xmas gift from swambo 2 years ago and still love it, many functions that I don't really use or learnt to use yet lol.

This watch is so flipping comfortable. Can and have literally worn it for a week non stop, sleep, shower, type, etc.. not a single moment yet where feeling uncomfortable, big, heavy..

I'm impressed!

Only issue is the software for the Surf sessions need to be revised.. it's not so great, but then the waves weren't that day either..

The durability of these things seems amazing. I will probably wear this watch until I retire.

I wore a a black stainless Guess that I received as a 21st present quite a while back. I wore it exclusively for 18 years. It's in a drawer at home, but I don't have a pic to hand.

My daily driver now is this. Picture taken during the horrible time where we were prohibited from experiencing daily life...

Sadly, this one is now somewhere in the Indian Ocean.

AAAAH the MIGHTY SKX007...what a classic! These have just become to expensive since they were discontinued in 2019. Around R7k now on Amazon..prices seem to be going down a bit, I WANT one on a jubilee bracelet. Perhaps later this year before they all disappear! One of the best daily's out there well done!

I'm an apple slut and with new series 6 launched there was some tempting deals on the outgoing series 5 so bit the bullet. (my old series 3 got passed on in the family) The always-on screen is a nice upgrade and the resolution is markedly better. The bump in processor gave it nice boost in speed compared to the old watch



I know smart watches is not to the liking of a lot of people but it works for me
