Default Gauteng East Rand Monthly G2G Braai Thursday 03 December 2020

Johan Maree has kindly offered us the use of his stoep again, which can cater for 40 odd people.... He has a 1200mm braai and also a gas braai. There is also enough parking space.... Everyone is responsible for their own Food, Drinks, Cutlery and Crockery.... Johan will supply the charcoal and gas for the braai.... The coordinates for Johan's premises are S26 03.401, E28 23.183. The premises are located on the R51 (Kempton Park NU) or https://goo.gl/maps/GhQ2SbR12qGi8SEa7 For guys that donít have GPSís a map can be downloaded at http://www.maree.co.za under 'contact'...., or Google Hillrise Oasis. Arrival time will be at about 18h00. Please add your names if you are coming along... P.S. Bring along a bag of cheap firewood for the fire pit

See this thread... https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum...iquettes/page2 and Johans comments..."JohanMareeDefault Re: Weber Briquettes I have decided... ...being usually in the moeilikheid for stirring and speaking out of my turn. Next Thursday (3 Dec) at our East Rand GTG I will do a test with 3x briquette types and 1x charcoal simultaneously next to each other on a long braai stand. Everybody welcome. Just bring your own meat, etc as per our usual culture. This way we can also waive this shaitty year goodbye"

Please post the results from the testing, preferably including seriously involved spreadsheets with temperature measurements for every 3.17 minutes. And pitchas, plenty pitchas. Please

Us who are tmurngone far away can at least partake in the event then, even if virtually.

I will try and make it this time. Lots of sticks in the fire, so I just hope they award me the gap.

May I ask for some assistance please?

I will supply the Braai thing and grids and the bag of charcoal.

Can some guys provide the three bags briquettes required? Maybe confer amongst each other who brings what?

That is indeed a pity, but alas, I really cannot make it, even though I really would've liked to go.
