Default Overlanding Novice Looking for assistance with Pajero SWB

    Hi my name is Kaylin

Im a doctor currently working in the Transkei, and Im planning a sabbatical for about 5 months ending in around April 2021. Im a complete novice and am planning an overlanding trip around SA, also heading into Namibia and possibly Botswana.
I have a Mitshubishi Pajero SWB 2007 model and Im looking for honest advice and assistance with getting my car ready for this trip.
I will be heading to durban around 4/5th December, and Im hoping to find someone in the greater Durban area who could help me with the following:
Purchasing and fitting of roofracks to fit a Moremi Sport Rooftop tent,
Fitting of the Moremi Sport tent
purchasing and installation of a deep cycle battery and possibly solar panel (depending on what is advised)
A service, specifically checking all that needs to be in order for long distance off-roading

As I mentioned, Im a novice and would appreciate all the honest advice i can get.

    thanks a lot!

    Kaylin,

I haven't done anything to my vehicle requiring a fitment centre lately, but I did use Rugged Africa in Hillcrest area a few years back and was happy with their service - https://www.ruggedafrica.co.za/contact/

I don't know about a Pajero specialist, sorry, but Travis may be able to assist.

    Have fun on your travels.

Hi Kaylin, did your trip materialise? I was wondering how your experience with the Moremi Sport tent is? I'm also looking at one of these tents but haven't found many real world reviews of them, thanks.
