Default St Lucia, Sugarloaf Camp Site

    Hi

Can anyone give me any information about St Lucia and especially Sugarloaf Campsite ?

We are planning to camp for 10 days at Sugarloaf

    Crime ?

    Fishing ?

    Estuary ?

Sugarloaf facilities, cleanliness, organisation, safety ?

I read about crime at Sugarloaf back in 2016 / 2017, what is the situation like now, is it safe.

Please guys any recent information will be highly appreciated

    Thanks

    Cheers

    Ronnie

We were there last year - spacious and private sites, well grassed. The sunset cruise on the estuary is nice- probably not running now. I personally liked it much better than cape Vidal. Nice little town there too. One of our favorite places.

We were there from the 19-24th and all I can say "never again"!

    1. Camp terrain over booked and not managed well. Dense packed and some visitors took up two stands or more (with little pop up tents or parking cars) with nobody keeping tabs on this.
    2. Bathrooms were disgustingly dirty.
    3. No water at any of the taps from 9am to 6.30pm. (no notice given to use prior)
    4. Pool only opens at 10am in the morning (try telling kids that) and then when visiting only quarter full.

There are a few other gripes, but these were some of our main issues.

Just another tick behind another failed campsite run by inept people. The heyday of Sugarloaf, Eden and my favorite Iphiva is looooooong gone.
