Bought a 2010 WK 5.7 hemi with the Eagle Head motor. Busy selling the other hemi that does not have the VVT motor.
Swapped wheels and fitted the 17" wheels in place of the standard 18". Other than that, Jeep is stock standard.

Owner who only had it few months, also gave me a remote with one button. Did not know what the use/function of this remote was. On searching the vehicle inside, found similar device without a push button, but with a lead that has a small micro push pad that was sort of hidden under the steering. I would guess could be some panic device or a cut out device.

Nice. That is a panic button. There should be a tracker in the Jeep as well as those to connect to it.

Removed and cleaned throttle body. Was surprisingly clean after 95 000km. May not have to fit a oil catch can. Will see what plugs look like.

Please educate me: what is the difference between the Hemi V8 and a normal/standard V8?
Put on just over 2000km since took possession of "new" Jeep. As with a 10 year old vehicle, discovered as few issues once back home in Cape Town.
1. Slight whine of power steer pump.
2. Some suspension bushes causing road noise on rough terrain. Going to replace front sway bar bushes with OME bushes.
3. Windscreen spray nozzles needed replacing. Fitted new today as supplied via Amazon.
4. Changed interior lights with LEDs and installed camping light and aux battery wiring (50% done).
More serious thing, noticed few oil drop marks on inside of right rear rim. Not a rotational splash, but stationary drops.
Removed the brake rotor/drum and found oil covered park brake shoes. Suspect oil entered into drum area via rear axle oil seal from the diff.
Did not inspect diff oil level on departing Pretoria, but now some 2000km later, diff oil level perfect and no other oil leaking signs.
Been driving a bit since discovering the oil drips, but no new leaking signs and diff oil level constant. Diff breather pipe not blocked.
Inclined to take no action till new signs show up. Any suggestions on this issue?

Sorted out a number of issues with the "new Jeep".
1. Oil leak on rear axle resolved itself. Actually on closer inspection, a small amount of oil found its way into the drum area of the rotor disk. Most likely as result of over filled rear diff. Will keep monitoring.
2. Clock on radio was loosing time. Resolved by doing "hard reset" of electric system. Now perfect time keeping.
3. Got new spray nozzles via Amazon. Fitted and all well.
4. Changed power steer oil using MB343. Whine is just about gone.
5. Fitted new Jeep OEM front sway bar bushes. WOW what a difference that made. Feels and sounds like brand new car.
6. Fitted cooler thermostat 88 C. Will changes fan activation temps in ECU soon.
7. Changed brake fluid. Now the brakes are super.
Now a new issues developed. Park assist left front section acting up at times. Seems could be a number of causes, but very irritating for now .

Hi Skala, thank you for your post.

pls keep posting and enjoy every moment.
'its a Jeep thing'
Changed the plugs today, all 16 of them.
First time with previous hemi took me whole day. Then got the correct tools and today took 2.5 hrs.
Could see that I need to fit the catch can. Will do tomorrow.

Update on latest.
Fitted catch can removed from previous hemi.
Completed tuning today by doing following:
Basically in the following areas changes were made:
1. cats removed
2. SRT intake pipe fitted
3. new plugs
4. WOT pedal thresh voltage reduced
5. Enrichment Rate increased
6. WOT Delay reduced
7. Spark table added 2 degree to whole table (timing advanced) We started with 5 added but the knock then retarded about all by 3
The final effect is a very lively motor in all gears that really makes this a totally different motor, totally.
Next is fitting OME suspension and my rock sliders. But not now.

So, today second time got a P 0513 code on my "new" hemi. Jeep started on third attempt, but this is not good.
