Default New Skipper Model T and Ford Ecosport Combo

    Greetings all

Thought I would share pics of my new Skipper Model T and Ford Ecosport combo. The little 1.5TDCI tows this rig like a dream. Super chuffed. Off to Mac Nicols this weekend.

Congratulations! Great little trailers these. I occasionally tow ours with my wife's 1.6 petrol Qashqai without a hassle.

Enjoy the weekend away. You will soon see what mods you want done, if any. We decided to have additional sidewalls made for the rally tent, the enclosed living area is just so much better now. Also very easy to open one or two walls during the day.

First thing I did was fit varnished file handles to the corner steadies grips.

Family member that I bought the trailer from, flocked the factory fitted steadies and replaced it with Alko steadies. Quite nifty.

Yes, a great product but the factory did some strange things despite being advised otherwise.
Mine for instance came with a female 220v plug inlet !

Absolutely fantastic. Very happy with it. Easy up,easy down, loads of packing space and most importantly a hit with my wife and little one. My 2 dogs appeared suitably impressed also. Will post some pics tomorrow. Going to order 2 additional shade cloth sides before the big December trip.

Great to hear! Where does the little one sleep given its actually a 2 sleeper.

I considered the shadecloth walls but ended up getting deluxe side walls. It just increases living space significantly, especially if weather is crap and you are forced to stay indoors.

Will look at pics tomorrow, doesn't seem to open on tapatalk tonight.

Where are you off to in December?

a single Instinct deluxe mattress fits perfectly in between the bench seat and cupboards. I didnít take the std fridge as I have a National Luna NL52. The space where the fridge would have gone is now a perfect step up and step down on and off the bed and doesnít interfere with where the little one sleeps now. During the day we just remove her mattress and bedding until the evening.

December we off to Silver Streams for 4 days and then Uithoek for 8 days.

Aaah okay. Yes we also use a mattress in that space.

Reinhardt made me a sort of a "rail" that fits onto the bench which is where our 3yr old sleeps.

    Where is Uithoek?

Congratulations. May you guys have many happy and wonderful trips. Saw the short video in the Skipper facebook page (I take it was you) drive off from the factory with your combination. Looks like fantastic combination.

I have my Skipper Model LT for 8 years already and so happy with it. Just love the ease of it.
