Re: Garmin Nuvi
I run T4A on a Nuvi 500. I don't know if the 40 and the 500 are from the same series, but it is worth a try. I can also perhaps help you with an older copy of T4A to try it. I live just down the road from you, in Kensington.
Talking about that, my Nuvi 500 got stolen and I managed to get a new one from Kevin Bolton, but that now has problem, battling to connect to the satellites.
My Patrol has a camping drawer system in the back, leaving no view via a rear view mirror, so the Nuvi 500 now lives where the interior rear view mirror used to be, making it less visible than before for guys wanting to steal these type of things.
I don't know if this location, so near (and under) the roof shields it from the satellites. It did not bother the previous (identical) one that was stolen. The newer GPS that also lives up there and runs Streetmaps, does not have a problem
Does anyone know if these Nuvis have internal antennas that could parhaps have been disturbed or maybe moved slightly?
