Keen to hear if any updates on the ongoing "reviews".

Also trying to find a supplier/fitment center in Centurion but cannot find any that stock Maxxis tyres - a bit concerning. Only places seem to be online stores which remove my ability to be able to "negotiate" and prices are varying by around R700 per tyre! :O

From what I have seen (Anthony from Off Course 4x4 uses them) is that they are great tyres.

After just completing a little over 1000kms off-road, all of which was in 4x4, combination of high and low range, and experiencing rock, sand, and corrugated gravel, I'm extremely happy with my tyres.

Reached 4k, still happy, very very good in the wet, to tail spinning or breaking traction. Offroad roach solid, think of BFG KO2 with good on road manners in a more aggressive tread.(more like an RT tire)

Other reviews from Australia, all the same as here

Much obliged all - feedback appreciated!

Pulled the trigger today - new shoes all around. I REALLY like the look. A tad more road noise than the Khumo AT51's and KL78's that I had previously but not such that it would bug me at all I think. On tar feels solid but comfy. Can't wait to stretch their legs and test them offroad on our upcomming Bots trip.

They are not cheap like other Maxxis, the RAZR line is their premium line slightly cheaper than BFG KO2 whichthey are squarely targeting.

I ended up fitting Grabbers. Couldnít justify the 1.5k difference.

Would have loved the razr and still probably the best AT you can get now

they are pretty expensive, still 30% less than KO2s when I bought them, if I get 60k kms, I will be happy for they have a softer compound and you can tell in the ride quality.

Default 9000 kms Maxxis Razr AT Update

Hi thought I would do a quick 9k kms update. Have already run down 1.5mm so far, not gotten much offroad use. My calculations at this rate of wear is maximum 68,000 km. My BFGs KO2s I removed at 6mm left and had done almost 90k kms so could easily have gone to 110k kms, but had become dangerous in the wet and cracking started after 4 years. Given what I paid, 68kms for the benefits over KO2 would have been really worth It.

I fitted a set yesterday. From the few reviews I could find, they seem to be pretty good and they do look the part. Will give my feedback here as I put some kms on them.

That about R500 per tire cheaper than Errol's which is a cool R3000 less that I would have to pay to replace all 6 my 764s (4 + 2 spares)
