Thumbs up The bug bite is itching

Hey there peeps, Got myself a Hilux 4x4 a few months ago (my first financed vehicle), and I keep having this itch to do more 4x4.

Had a nice 2 week trip to Sodwana from Western Cape, North over Lesotho.

Bakkie is still bare basic, got nice canopy, gonna do gull wing mod.
Looking for a bullbar, Tent gear is dad's old hand me downs.

    Morning Metabee, and welcome.

Not sure a bullbar is priority number one, but hey, I'm also new at this game...

What is your motivation behind a bullbar?

For adding a winch/lights? The motivation for that then?

For off-road protection- for the majority of 4x4'ing, unless you go extreme, it's not necessary. I have yet to damage my bumper on my Ranger, it carries a lot of clearance and if you're careful, you're safe.
A bullbar also weighs a fair amount, so often needs a shocks/suspension change.

a Good first upgrade for a stock vehicle is to upgrade to decent AT or MT tires.

I got the second hand vehicle with A/T already, The motivation is to not wait for the tupperware to fail and causing more damage to more essential parts of the bakkie.

Will keep you guys updated with pics!
