If you do the Swartberg pass, you will end up close to Prince Albert. Have lunch there, pop into Gaye's Guernsey diary right where you enter the town for artisan cheeses. Then there is Swartrivier olive farm out on the other end of town. They have a shop and tours, maybe just phone ahead of time to make sure they are open.

Boplaas kelder in Calitzdorp to taste award winning port and muskadel.

Karusha kelder is just outside Oudtshoorn on the Cango caves road. They have excellent white wines and a lovely restaurant.

There is a very scenic dirt road from Calitzdorp which follows the foot of the Swartberge and joins the R328 not far from the caves.

Take a slow drive through Meiringspoort and walk to the waterfall.

    Some pointers....

Do the Caves, but also do the zipline from the Caves to restaurant below : http://www.cangocavesestate.co.za/

Visit Grundheim Wines : https://www.grundheim.co.za/ Wines, Brandy, Gin ... baie lekker dinge

Visit Calitzdorp nearby and the Bo-Plaas Cellar .... whiskey, wines etc....

Meiringspoort and De-Rust.... you have two choices of gravel roads to get there

Klaarstroom on the other side of Meiringspoort ... Faan se Trein movie was shot here, make a turn at the Hotel for a pub lunch

Die Hel (gamkaskloof) ... try tp spend at least two nights here

Swartberg pass and some coffee etc in Prince Albert on the other side.... visit the Bush Pub... but you need to do this pass up and down... not just one way

Do a day trip to Mosselbay

Do a day trip to Victoria baai, George.... swimming surfing and pizza and beer ... btw... you can get to George via Monteque pass ? if I remember correctly

Smits winkel for breakfast and some serious rib specials... and the roadhouse burgers and pizza just outside the gates of the Infantry School main gates

Doornkraal padstal between De Rust and Oudtshoorn https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attracti...tern_Cape.html

Karoo lamb at very good prices, wines, spices, home made stuff etc

If you think Oudtshoorn is hot you will enjoy Calitzdorp. There is plenty to do in the Garden route but its going to be very busy this Mosselbay side of the mountain with all the holiday makers but a trip to Knysna on a very scenic route is a must with lots to see and do and everywhere there is nice big signs but it will take a full day.
