Default Stretcher legs/ feet tent floor protection

As the title suggests, what do you use? I thought of cutting squares from a rubber car mat and plce them under the feet. The 10 year old will be sleeping on it so there is not much weight but I am still worried that the feet might damage the tent floor.

Some Gorilla tape will also do the trick.

    Hallo Riaan,

I use a car rubber mat in conjunction with a piece of a foam mat below it. The car mat is still hard and it is possible that that will also "puncture" the tent if something hard/sharp is below it. The foam helps with that. I use the same under the ladder for the TTT.

    Regards

I saw someone cut a hole in tennis balls and then fit them over the feet. I think that should work well

I did this to telescopic poles which I use on the awning when it rains, to lift the areas where water accumulates on the awning. Works well

I use little squares cut from an old carpet, one of those carpet tiles. Works a treat.

    We use these

    https://www.takealot.com/10-piece-ev...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

You just need to stick the middle of the numbers in place otherwise they fall all over the place. We look a bit odd being a 2 30 year olds with no kids traveling with our number mats but they are half the price of a plain black set.

It does create some confusion when I bat my eyelids and ask if we can practice our multiplication

Ground sheet under the tent will be the best option, together with a bit of a chicken run of the camp site before to remove stones . Keep the stones from touching the tent bottom.

The problem is that the feet tend to move off the protection.
    Cut 100 x 100, 25mm thick pine squares.

    Drill a 40 / 50mm hole, 10 mm deep, with a Forstner bit.
It you have a router, round the edges.

The feet should centre in the hole, and not move off it.

My wife made some "socks" for the feet from a thickish fabric. Works well

I bought some "rail ends" from Builders, the big ones. They look like the plastic squares you get for the aluminum tube ends, just bigger. I think i got it in the curtain section.
I was looking for the round ones you get for putting under chairs, but the square ends work really good.

I was also considering peanut butter bottle lids. The edges keep the feet put, and they can slide within the cap and the cap can slide on the floor. So far so good for us.

This has been an issue I have been contemplated with the RV3 Oz Tent. Now with the Bundutop it is no longer an immediate problem.

The advice above mostly addresses the scuff/puncture issue from the inside. As long as one has the same pressure, even if the contact area is now soft, puncturing from outside/underside is still possible unless one spread the weight over a bigger area by using a piece of rigid material.

As a budget solution caps from coffee bottles should also work well. If you use wood blocks or whatever, just be sure that it doesn't have sharp edges which can dig in to the tent floor.
Tennis balls is a nice idea, but doesn't increase the serfice area by too much.

Ek gebruik die groot square end caps. Stewig en geen skerp kante wat gate kan steek nie. Dalk dieselfde as wat BarryCH na werwys. Werk baie mooi.

Cheapest ,tear up a carboard box in lekker large squares. Dispose when you pack up.
Or leave them inside the tent. No damage will result.
