They would have sold in tons even without the tupperware update.

Default The new Hilux has arrived...

New car deal show the following new vehicle deals currently as follows:

    Ford Ranger 2.0 biturbo 4x4 DC wildtrack R752 200 discounted R662 000

    Toyota hilux 2.8 GD6 DC 4x4 legend 50 R709 800 discounted R660 114

Against this, the list price for the new face lift Toyota hilux of R850k is imho out of sync. If I was in the market I would buy the ford which has Apple car play adaptive cruise control etc same as new Toyota for nearly R200k less .
I think Toyota may have to offer some significant discounts to keep the new hilux sales numbers up. Ford must be laughing at this new hilux price.

My research shows that the only benefit the new top of the range hilux has over the current wildtrack is an electric remote controlled bin cover. Expensive bin cover haha

That pricing is a stretch, but as always they will still sell boat loads. Even AUS journalists confirms they have this crazy phenomena where its not the best bakkie at all but tops the sales YoY.

I see they have just modified that calculator that was used as a radio in the Legend50 to have car play.

Very similar interior and still the gearbox from an 80's cresida. (Thank goodness it has more oower now)

The Wildtrak, even though similarly priced should not be compared to the Legend.

    Fair comparisons are
    Legend 50 vs XLS
    "All new hilux" vs Xlt

If you are talking auto, it is also the same gearbox used in the new Isuzu Dmax as well as the new Triton. So can't be that bad!

    I'm 52!
    Grown up son and daughter.
I don't plan on getting a divorce and then marrying a sweet young blonde desperate Russian girl with big boobies.
Who will obviously then want a little one running around the house again, (just the thought of making babies again sounds like a lot of work to me).

    So!...What I am saying is...

I will gladly donate both my balls for one of those new Hilux DC / 4x4's.
