Default Designing a caravan hit a snag.

I am busy designing a caravan for me and the missus.
We want 2 benches with a table inside like a breakfast nook but also want to fold it down for a daybed.
I am having trouble thinking of a way for the table leg to be not in our way but also be sturdy and foldable to convert to daybed.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

Maybe share with us a picture of what your idea is and how much space you have?

My idea would be a spring loaded pin. 2 pipes that you move in each other to select the 2 positions for the bed/table. Something like the gazebo legs that you adjust.

Here is an interesting one. When closed you can use the headboard area as a dining table.

    Hi Fatbike

Our "dining table" in the trailer is not fixed so normal foldable legs and then slots/hangs onto the base of the seats to create area for a bed with the 2 backrest of the bench making up the mattress space of the table.

I think this is a common design and for me the table that can move is actually good as you can easier get in or out and most of the time we ( husbands) need more space between us and the table than the missus .

Else just let the table top fold out of the way and have the mattress and board to cover the gap as 1 unit.

The older Jurgens had the table cantilevered. Bracket mounted in the bulkhead and one beneath the table. The arm removes when collapsing into a bed. How urgent is this?

Just trying to figure out how to do the table.
Not that urgent but would like something easy to erect.
My porta potti will be standing in that space when traveling.
