Default I Installed a Power Plus Throttle Controller.

    Man, what a difference.
The Pajero is super responsive, pulls much better and is a dream to drive now.

I used the HIKEIT throttle controller on my Disco 4 XS. Also a huge difference. The response is instant and cruising is a breeze. On a trip to Kgalighadi a week ago at 120 I was running at 10.8 liters/100k. Cars computer which is inaccurate but is comparative. used to run at 12l/100k.

Will be interested to see what I get at my normal 105 to 110kph cruise.

Just looked at the Power plus web site. The HIKEIT description and MO could have been taken from there or vice versa.

More info please, model Pajero, where did you have it fitted and cost.
Then please explain the "method" behind the throttle controller.
    Any associated risks?
Very curious, your reaction makes me want to know more
Edit, followed the link - if it sounds too good to be true...... convince me!

Zero risk involved. I did a lot off homework on this, you are welcome to look at Youtube videos about IDRIVE and POWER+

Ordered it on there FB site, Courier dropped it off the next day

    Read here, https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum...97#post4478397

And I am not going to convince you...Had to convince myself lol, took me a few months before I bit the bullet! and it works a charm.

I reset my fuel consumption meter, and drove to Knysna, according to the computer its average is 1.2 km pl lighter on fuel. Have to fill the car and drive then refill to do an accurate test I think.

My fuel consumption average in town is always 6.9 kmpl. after reset i am on 8.1 after driving in town for 34 km.

My highway average was usually around 8.7 kmpl, Knysna and back i am on 9.8. either there claims on better fuel consumption is valid, or the computer gets fooled. BUT I am using much less throttle input than before, dont have to press the pedal down so much.(maybe its true will see. in town the setting was ECO mode, and to Knysna it was on AUTO mode. If you put it is Race mode the thing fly!. But I used Auto mode as that is where I will keep it mostly. Race Mode A3.9 I will use up dunes etc, for when I need all the support to help the old Tank with her standard 8 KW she has available lol!

So did I! And my brother too.

We both have 2019 Pajero Sport 2.4 2x4.

BOSTOKKELOS on which setting are you using it?

Look the thing does not set or change or do anything to the ECU. It simply makes throttle input as immediate as your foot is.

I find that factory inputs are slow i.e. when you floor it, the input will open the throttle albeit slowly. Power+ makes input immediate so your turbo lag feels non existent.

I am currently running on Eco 2

    Good day guys.

    I am @clouder's twin brother. I have a 2019 PS 2.4D4 4x2

I also installed a Power+. I use is basically permanently on A1.6. This setting just works for me. I find ECO mode too sluggish for my liking. However, it WORKS!! For R 1 800 it is a absolute steal!!

Hi guys, where can I buy it over the counter? I tried to contact the nearest 'local dealer' HI-Q on the East Rand (Atlas Road) but they didn't know what I was talking about. After some research the very helpful guy at HI-Q contacted me to let me know they will get more information for me.

Red face Re: I Installed a Power Plus Throttle Controller.

On the contrary....I would like a unit with a setting that downs the response. In real slow 4x4 driving I find my Patrol 30CRD a little bit jumpy. It would be nice to have slow smooth acceleration and then also not full power Maybe it is because I am used to my 4.2D...

Yes I did, just follow the instructions. The car must stand switched off for at least ten minutes if I remember correctly. Then open the panel at the drivers knees, unplug the accelerator, plug it in. Mount the controls panel and thats it. 10 minutes.

Just wondering if it can be used as a cruise/speed control as well? I'd like to fit to my Land cruiser 79 which doesn't have a cruise/speed control.
