    Hi
Any advise on a reliable aftermarket tyre pressure monitoring system for a Amarok.

Tyre Mart Menlyn on the Vitara. And had them refitted on the Amarok at Tyre Mart Montana. Yes, they must be careful during fitment, but they seem to be familiar with the process.

I bought 5 wheel sensors, so that I can bring the spare into the rotation.

    Sorry incomplete answer.

Tyre Mart did the sensors. I installed the monitor myself. Technically very easy - instructions included - but it will take a while. Also depending from where you get the power and if you want it permanent powered.

Johan could you please post a photo of the screen installed in the Amarok if you don't mind?

There you go. I used some malleable plastic SUGRU. From Builders, to get the angles right

It is actually quite easy to balance them - but the change (pressure and temp) as soon as you have traveled a few k's. On the Amarok the right front wheel always changes the most - due to the turbo being on that side?

BUT. The pressure differs quite a bit from the readings from an external pressure gauge - they will give you nice explanation if you ask - physics I do not understand and I did not care about after a few days.

Looks awesome, and at a good price. How long have you had them - asking to try and gauge how robust they are....??

I have only had mine for about 2 months but the quality seems great and the phone app works well.

The sensors do show battery level and tire temperature as well.
A slow leak function is also present to alarm if you have a slow puncture.

I see that there is no difference in pricing between the internal and external units.

I was wondering, if you use the external units, how much of a mission is it to remove them to top-up tyres when they need air?

Iíve got external sensors... not these ones though, and itís just like removing a valve cap... sometimes they stick a bit due to the salt air, but itís not a mission

I have externals and they come with a locking nut and little spanner to tighten the sensor to the valve so you can't be stolen.
But I have not used them and taking them off is just like removing a valve.
