In Australia they are called the 580. Maybe here we should call it the 908+

You can't get one in Namibia. Waiting list is 6 months!! Deposits already paid. You won't think we are in a economic crisis!!!

I'm struggling to understand the disposable income needed for a R1m vehicle. My mind can't grasp it.

Well @ 72 months and 5% interest its only slightly more than 16K per month.
Some people rent dwellings for 30K per month and still own nothing after 72 months.

    Well let's calculate it.

    For ZAR 1mil
    Over a 5 year period
    at 8.5% interest

You are looking at ZAR 20,516.53 per month. So if you HP makes up 20% of your disposal income (which is high), your disposable income comes in at ZAR 102k per month. So a CTC of around ZAR 150k should do you

Who grosses over R1.2m per year? Unless they're doing 72 months and a 50% residual?

and in 7 years you can't get rid of it for R500k?

I dunno, some people are spending way too much to just keep up with the Joneses.

and I made a mistake here: not R1.2m gross, R1.2m nett AFTER taxes and deductions.........

That must be very close to R1.8m gross income? R150k+ per month? WTF?
