As a matter of interest what 220v chargers are you using for your lithium batteries, the ones I can find that are suitable are 5amp. Seems rather light in power.

If the question is directed at me, I don't have any chargers bar the Victron inverters, using solar power.

I've never looked for a lithium battery charger, for when I looked for lead acid charger years ago, they where very expensive, the ones with big amp capability.

It was a general question but thanks for replying nonetheless, I am thinking of a Victron IP65 10amp which should be enough for a typical overlanding cycle for just under R2.5k

You did not specify that re-branded BMS's are not acceptable?

Added these coulomb meters to my DIY Lifepo4 battery packs. Now I can see the exact charge capacity remaining. No more guessing just by the voltage which is difficult on a Lifepo4. They were R 990.00 each from www.flexadventures.co.za

You can get similar a bit cheaper via Banggood, but was not worth the hassle to me.

From the test by Will Prowse he is quite happy with the $30 China Battery Monitor vs the Victron unit.

Anybody seen some for sale in SA - otherwise we have to get it from China.

Hi. Can anyone advise if there is anything wrong with this battery. it is substantially cheaper than a Blue Nova equivalent.

Considering this for a Camping solar charge battery.

I believe it is worth a punt.

Obviously a second use battery, so I wouldn't use it for a home solar system, but for sure I would for a camping solar system.

    Awesome thread

Does anybody have any experience with Hoselect?

    https://www.electromannsa.com/produc...ifepo4-battery

Seems like a really good deal?

Or would I be better of building my own with the DIY kits from https://lithiumbatteriessa.co.za?
