    Well, the motor AND box hang off those bolts with all the power and torque going through them and no adverse issues with reliability.

    Remember, the traditional rubber mounts are there for passenger comfort and the 3 point fixing for manufacturing ease, nothing else.
    You are not going to be driving to Joburg every week in that, so a few rattled fillings along Malibongwe Road can be managed with a thugby player's mouth guard and a kidney belt will take care of the mid section.

    The idea is to use mid plates to connect the motor & gearbox..... open clutch-open drive.
    (Besides....Gilo wants R3300.00 for a bell housing, and another R4000.00 for the flywheel.....)

    I suppose welding the engine crossmember and cradle to the chassis is one way to guarantee stiffness........

    I do like the use of PAD techniques.
