It seems there are 2 trails.

They talk about a 5 trail rating where single vehicles is not allowed.

A trip to Clarens is always fun, please do a proper trip report.

Not recently but we were there in 2018
    Basically 2 trails

    1. Berg route (did not do it)
From what i understand its a gravel road up and along the mountain

    2. Kloof route (We did this one, apparently Grade5?)
As its name states you go down into the kloof and do a few tricky obstacles, nothing too hectic, but more of a challenge than the Berg route. Nice scenery and picnic spots.

    Enjoy.

    Both trails are open
The Berg trail over the mountain is open although he says there is a section on the opposite side that has erroded somewhat and a bit dangerous but do able..He says some guys say no0 issues and others found it quite daunting
From the time I was there the berg trail is very rocky on the up side but i did it in standard pajero no issues. Its a grade 3 i think
    Enjoy
