2022 is too late. By then its old as Ford and Toyota with new facelifts are allready ahead of Isuzu. AGAIN!

I agree, there is a gap in the market at the moment with the ford and hilux being older facelifted versions. These gaps are also only relevant to the non-brand loyal customers but can make a huge difference in future success of the model and the brand.

There's still no indication from Isuzu. I love Isuzu and have had a few of them. I also need to change my vehicle and with Isuzu not providing ANY feedback I've taken the plunge and ordered a 2021 Toyota Legend 2.8 4x4 Auto in DC... With 5 month waiting list and all... Even with this waiting list its way faster than Isuzu.

Correct, because they test it properly before launching. Apparently the bakkie is already here since last year but they put in stronger diffs and some other body parts to be "tougherer" for our conditions, also thicker panels than the overseas (Thailand?) bakkies. Then they still have to put on 500 000 km on these improved models before Japan will allow them to sell the new model locally. This is according to a local DP with whom I have a long working relationship. Apparently not all brands require that, they rather deal with the possible comebacks than spending money and testing models up front...

That bakkie and van can take a beating of note.
They do have proper recovery equipment though.
