I have two "dealers" selling directly to me from their shop's stock that they have either moved to their house or to their storage lockers... I also have some friends with restaurants that sell you what you want (only those they can trust) while you eat a meal... This out of their own stocks.. If the ban gets lifted, there will be many stores/ and others that will need to get more stock ASAP

same with brandy/whiskey at R500 per bottle..Still cheap.....Compared to cigarettes which are waaaaaaaaay overpriced
Average UK price 10 pounds for packet of twenty, so R225 about, same product. But i guess its relative.

Lift liquor and cigarettes but keep the curfew.Everyone is still drinking, just a bit more weiry to drive after curfew so i say keep it.I am sure hospitals are not looking forward to first unbanned weekend..It really is sad how some people get out of hand suddenly when alcohol gets unbanned

Booze is being sold by producers as a desperate means of generating income, I know of more than one craft brewer/distiller supplying product in unlabeled bottles for instance.
Your mouth will hang open when you see how much booze and siggies are sold by cops. Right out of the police van

I saw cops there but wasnt sure what happened, my first thought was that it must have been a robbery.

True, some will spend 10k just in case the stuff gets banned again. Think i will stock up as much as possible as well. Or, try order online with free delivery.

Crime wave also over Centurion. Save for Joost's brother, house robberies and burglaries have gotten very close to home where there were none previously... They tried to rob a jewelry store in Centurion mall over the weekend.

They are targeting offices on the west rand as well. Again. We had it 2 years back. Trying to be over vigilant now....

So paying exorbitant prices for cigarettes and alcohol does not line someone's back pocket?

My stock levels will never be under 2 cases of brandy ever again. Just keep adding new stock from the back to rotate the older ones.
