    Default NL DC-DC is actually a Benton.

    Great was my surprise when I opened my green box to change the battery type and find that the DC-DC fitted to the NL box is actually a Benton.
    Was not aware of that.

    Very interesting, I didn't even know Benton made a DC-DC. I was quite certain for a while that NL probably makes use of parts from other manufacturers, but would have thought that they will at least rebrand.
    Does it still come with NL documentation which correlates with the Benton hardware?

    Are you sure about it being the dc-dc?

    That is what it says on the cover of the DC-DC.

    Oddly, no mention of DC-DC chargers on Benton's website... Or is that a different Benton... http://bentoncharger.com/contact_us


    Also, on the Mobile Power Solutions (Australia) page, there is no 40A model - while NL has offered a 40A model for a year or so.

    Are we sure it's not Benton re-branding a NL unit in a different market?

    Anybody noted how many brand names Voltronics Hybrid Inverters are sold as. Axpert, Mecer, Kodak..........and a gazillion more.

    Well DC-DC chargers and just about every other electronic consumer device is no different.

    Damn side easier to select suitable product in China, and get them to brand it for you, rather than do all the R&D and set up a production line for a few dozen units.

    True that, but you dont want to pay a premium price for a cheap chinese product with a premium brand sticker. And how does the aftersales service work? Does NL do the repairs themselves?
    I have an Mecer / axpert inverter and I am told by everyone who sells them thet if they fail, dont bother getting it fixed due to the aftersales service from suppliers / importers.
